Ken Agyapong ‘dodges’ Court again; blames post COVID-19 complications

Member of Parliament(MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has for the second time failed to show up in court to face contempt charges slapped against him

His lead counsel , Mr Kwame Gyan , explained that his client got Post COVID-19 complication after last Friday’s court hearing.

The Lawyer presented a medical excuse form and requested the court to adjourn the case for fourteen days to allow his client recover.

The Judge Justice Amos Wuntah Wuni agreed to adjourn the case but ordered that the Doctor appears before the court to provide the court with some explanation.

Kennedy Agyapong is standing trial for Contempt for threatening to deal with a Judge who issued an interlocutory injunction in a land dispute which he is involved in.

Kennedy Agyapong was reported to have described the Judge as stupid and said he was not like Anas who will take bribes and let them off the hook.

Last Week, a video of the businessman unleashing unprintable words against the Judge was played back in court and the Assin Central Member of Parliament was made to enter the dock where he pleaded not guilty of the charges leveled against him.
