Official kit manufacturers of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, STRIKE have debunked rumours that they are set to make way for English sportswear firm Umbro.
Reports circulating in the media point at a looming divorce between the two parties with Umbro said to be in advanced talks with the Porcupines to take over from STRIKE as main kit sponsors of the club.
Reacting to the issue, Strikeghana, the kit manufacturer’s representatives in the country have taken it to social media to rubbish the reports, stating affirmatively that they have a running contract with the Baba Yara-based side until 2022.
The Porcupines have had their strip manufactured by the Portuguese kit manufacturing company since November 2018 in a deal which saw the Reds amassing GHc130,000 during the unveiling at Manhyia.
The deal was signed by the erstwhile management led team of the club by George Amoako and STRIKE representatives which was reported to earn the club millions of Ghana cedis.
