Hearts of Oak Management and Supporters Needs To Be United To Regain Lost Glory

The President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) Ben Nunoo Mensah has said Ghana Premier League side Accra Hearts of Oak will need a united front to regain its lost glory after going ten years without a league title.

Nunoo Mensah a die-hard fan of the club who once served as management member said in an interview with Ashaiman TV that, “what is missing in the current Hearts of Oak is the unity of purpose.

“During our time, whenever Hearts of Oak had a game, all the past and present administrators will be there. Old and new players will also show up just to support the club to succeed.

“Unfortunately these positive ingredients are missing in the current set up and that is what is playing against our fortunes these days,” he added.

“Everybody was involved in whatever we do. Everyone contributes his quota and the belief in the leadership was so encouraging.

“Those days if Tommy Okine tells you, Ben, this match, by the 36th minute it will happen and he keeps repeating it three times, on the said minute, it will surely happen.

“Tommy doesn’t tell you something which doesn’t happen. So when you have a leader like this, how can you fail,” Nunoo Mensah stated.

He, therefore, expressed worry over the current situation of the club saying “it’s unfortunate the club is not performing at a time Togbe Afede XIV is in charge taking into consideration the huge investments he has made into the club.
