Kempinski Hotel denies closure of 4 floors and retrenchment of 85% of staff


Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra has denied stories claiming it is closing four of its hotel floors and retrenching 85 percent of staff.

In a statement, the hotel noted that it is aware of stories circulating about an imminent retrenchment and possible closure of the Hotel in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic but “management wishes to clarify that the Hotel has no plans of closing down or retrenching any of its staff.”

“We strictly observe guidance and recommendations by the national and local authorities and we have put in place significant measures to ensure smooth business continuity. The well-being of our guests and members of staff remain our utmost priority.”
